This is a beautiful church from many directions, this is taken from the top of Dinnington Pit tip. You will find the remains of a castle next door to the church, as this was the highest point in the surrounding country and a great point of defence.
The church has the occasional open day and you can go to the top of tower and take in the views. It is said on a fine day you can sea the coast, however I believe it is more likely the river that runs through Scunthorpe, as I saw the Blast furnaces lined up along the river Trent.
All the best
