Christmas mince meat instructions
This is my instructions for making Christmas mincemeat.
You need to do this a couple of months before Christmas.
Making your own pastry is very easy. Weigh out twice the weight of ordinary flour to baking and cooking margarine. Two oz of cooking margarine to 8 oz of flour, will make 12 mince pies. Add an oz of sugar if you want to. Make bread crumbs of the ingredients. Add just enough water to make into a hard dough. Roll out into pastry. I bought a full set of pastry cutters from Wilkinsons.
