Firbeck cottage

Another beautiful cottage in Firbeck.  Firbeck is as close as you will get to a traditional English village, with a Pub and Church.  But I think all the local shops have shut down and too many modern houses have been built on the high st.  Firbeck used to have two estates,  Parkhill and Firbeck Hall.  Parkhill hall was knocked down in 1935 and Firbeck Hall is waiting for redevelopment.

Firbeck is well worth a walk around and there is a nice local pub called the Black Lion for a meal and drink.  Check opening times before visiting.  It was certainly open last Sunday afternoon when I visited.

Imagine sat in this cottage on a cold day, with a warm open fire.
